Code of Conduct for Members of Council

Council members for the Corporation of the Town of Iroquois Falls are committed to discharging their duties conscientiously and to the best of their ability; to acting with honesty and integrity; and to generally conduct themselves in a way that generates community trust and confidence.

BY-LAW NO. 3507/18 - Being a by-law to establish codes of conduct for members of the council of the municipality and of local boards of the municipality.

BY-LAW 3508/18 - Being a by-law to adopt a Council-Staff Relations Policy.

Integrity Commissioner

Section 223.3 of the Municipal Act enables a municipality to appoint an Integrity Commissioner (IC) to address the application of the Code of Conduct for elected officials and/or members of local boards and committees.

The Integrity Commissioner also reviews concerns over the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.
